Jan 27 holocaust day
On January 27, 2019 at 18:30 pm there was an event on the Steinsfurt Synagogenplatz commemorating the victims of Nazi terror.
May 12: Weil meeting
Members of the Weil family have been meeting in Germany.
They paid a visit to the former Steinsfurt synagogue, where their ancestors prayed, on May 11, 2019.
May 22: Members' meeting
July 13 & 14: 125th Anniversary of the Synagogue
On July 13 and 14, 1894 there was the solemn inaugugration of the synagogue in Steinsfurt.
We remembered this on the 125th anniversary of the event.
Sept 8: Open Monument
On Sunday, September 8th, is „European Heritage Day”.
The synagogue is open from 11:30 am to 6 pm.
Oct 19: Concert
„Awake my soul" was the title of the concert in the former synagogue on October 19th at 7:30 pm.
Dorothee Memmler (harp, song and recitation) presented texts and songs from Jewish tradition.
Citizen Award 2019
We are very pleased that we are receiving the Citizen Award 2019 of the Denkmalstiftung Baden-Württemberg. The award is endowed with 5.000€. This helps with our work.

June 6: Members meeting|left
The annual members' meeting is in the Synagogue on June 7, 2018 at 19:30.
All members are invited.
June 9/10: Village fête
The Steinsfurt village fête took place during the weekend June 9th to 10th.
This year our exhibition in the verwaltungsstelle had the title
Daniela Weil, Author and Illustrator from the Steinsfurt Weil-Family
Aug 5: Revue
Under the heading Sprich Leise, wenn du Liebe sagst there will be a revue in the synagogue on August 5, 2018 at 6:30 pm with music and texts by Kurt Weill.
Performing Vera Finck (Vocal, Lotte Lenya) and Alejandro Graziani (Piano).
Sept 9: Open Memorial Day
On Sunday, September 9th, is „European Heritage Day”.
The synagogue is open from 11:30 am to 6 pm.
Nov 3: Concert
On November 3, 2018 at 6 pm we had a concert in the synagogue.
Under the heading "On wings of Song" you could hear music by Jewish composers. One main theme was Klezmer music.
Nov 9 Memorial event in Sinsheim
Nov 10: Synagogue Precinct
On November 10th there was an event for the dedication of the Synagogenplatz.
This precinct is to be a memorial for all victims of Nazi-terror.
The date is the 80th anniversary of "Crystal Night" in Steinsfurt.
Nov - Dec: Exhibition: Pogrom Memorial
For the 80th anniversary of "Crystal Night" we show an exhibition. It remembers the persons, who had to suffer from these atrocities in Steinsfurt. It will be open from November 10th until the end of the year. Normal opening times Sunday 3 pm to 5 pm.

The movie Wir sind Juden aus Breslau (We are Jews from Wrocław)
was shown on Wednesday May 17, at 6 pm and 8: 30 pm
in the CINEMA PARADISO (Citydome) in Sinsheim.

We invite the members of our association and all person who are interested in our work to a get-together in the synagogue on Sunday, May 21 at 15:30.
We are celebrating the 25th anniversary of our association.
June 17/18
The Steinsfurt village fête took place during the weekend June 17th to 18th.
Since our association had been in existence for 25 years we showed an exhibition with pictures from our own history.
June 22
The members' meeting 2017 took place on June 22 in the synagogue.
June 25|active
On Sunday June 25th at 7:30 pm there was a concert with the ensemble "parnass expressive" (lute and voices) in the former synagogue.
July 2
We had an event on Sunday July 2, at 11 am in the former synagogue.
Under the heading "Kraichgau – Traces of Jewish Life, 2018" a new calendar will be presented.
Sept 10
On Sunday, September 10th, is „European Heritage Day”.
The synagogue is open from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm. We show the exhibition "Shoah".

Sept - Dec
We have created an exhibition, in which we remember the persons from Steinsfurt who were murdered in the 3rd Reich. It is shown in the synagogue from September onward.

March 20|left
We invited the members of our association and all person who are interested in our work to a meeting with „coffee and cakes”. It took place in the synagogue on Sunday, March 20, at 4 pm.
April 15
The association Jüdisches Leben Kraichgau e.V. had her „External Get-together” on April 15, 2016 in the Steinsfurt Synagogue.

Am Sonntag, den 6. Juni, konnten wir Rabbi Jona Kawelczyk-Kissin, the town-rabbi of Heiderberg visited the synagogue on Sunday June 6. He supervised the correct placing of the mesusa that were given us as a present by Prof. Carlos Weil, Argentina.
June 11/12
The village fête in Steinsfurt took place during the weekend June 11th/12th. Since the hall of the Verwaltungsstelle was not available the planned exhibition will be shown in September.
Sept 11
On Sunday, September 11th, was „European Heritage Day”.
The synagogue was open and our Exhibition was to be seen.
Sept 25
On September 25, 2016 at 4 pm we have presented the Memorial Book.
Missing pages will be added over time.
The book will be on display in the synagogue from this day on.

The Cultural Heritage Foundation in Stuttgart has granted further 15,000€ for the restauration of the synagogue. Since we expect donations from other sources as well we think we can finish the restauration work inside the synagogue during the current year

October: GURS
Gurs Memorial
On October 22, 1940 – 75 years ago – the Jewish population of Baden was deported to Gurs in South-France.
In cooperation with the denkmal-aktiv AG of the Wilhelmi-Gymnasium Sinsheim, the VHS Sinsheim and „Spielmobil im Kraichgau e.V.” we commemorate this event in a series of events.

In the Steinsfurt synagogue on sunday October 18, at 3 pm we had a commemoration for the deportation of the Jews 75 years ago.

On the Synagogenplatz in Sinsheim we remember the pogroms in November 1938, when the Sinsheim synagoge was burned down, too.
